José Carlos García defies the traditional Andalusian recipes with his techniques and audacity. The chef from Malaga continuously glances out towards the sea and grounds his cuisine using autochthonous products from the harbour and farmers’ market, even though he is inspired by all that he discovers on his travels to create his dishes.
The restaurant which is named after him, situated in Muelle Uno, reveals his sincere and progressive cuisine, the result of his training in the family business in the Café de Paris and his own experience over the course of a decade at the helm of his personal project.
His gastronomy is a mirror image of his own personality, an authentic mixture between loyalty to his origins, respect for classicism of his family inheritance and as he adds, “A touch of Rock ‘n’ Roll”.
